Hi to Everyone who might read this blog!
This is a blog about my family--if you personally know me, you will know who I am talking about--if you are reading my blog because you happened to find it on the internet--I hope it will be entertaining/mildly interesting and that you will come back to visit.
This first blog is to introduce myself to you so you can get to know me (ok..it's really an update on a previous blog).
So......10 things about me (and my family)
1. I have been happily married for 29 years
2. My husband and I have 4 children ranging in age from 17 to 27. Three boys and one girl. Two of our children are married. We are also the proud grandparents of 2--one boy (aka Mr. CTR) and one girl (aka Princess Posy)
3. I am a passionate reader...if I find an author I like, I try to read everything that had been published by that author. I usually read 3 books a week (okay it's really more like 4 or 5 books a week)
4. I love to cook...especially baking! This is normally a good thing but I am trying to lose weight and I love to eat what I bake....Dilemma!
5. I play the piano very well. Ten years of private lessons and, due to some bad non-practicing habits and a creative teacher, I can sight read music very well!
6. I am a substitute teacher. 80% of the time it is great, 10% of the it is difficult, and 10% of the time, it can be a nightmare.
7. I live in Southern California....I can appreciate snow when I visit it but I am always glad to wave goodbye to it when I leave.
9. I try to do "crafts" but I don't always enjoy them. For instance, I love choosing fabrics for sewing projects and I love the end result of the sewing projects....but sometimes the sewing itself bores me.
10. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a life-long member--baptized at 8--. My mom is a member but my dad is not. I married my husband in the Los Angeles Temple (located on Santa Monica Blvd) and we have raised our children in our faith.
